Dämon, der auch von ihrem Wappentier, dem Löwen, an
gegriffen wird. Beachtlich ist die Eleganz dieses Bildes.

Das rechteckige Feld zeigt den Gott Siva, der mit den
göttlichen Müttern tanzt. Von links beginnend sind neben
einander dargestellt; Mahishi, zweiarmig, einen Dreizack
haltend, der linke Arm fehlt. Sie besitzt das dritte Auge aut
der Stirn. Vaishnavi, Muschel und Girlande fragend. Siva,
vierarmig mit Löwenfell und dem Bullen Handln. Varahi,
ebergesichfig, mit Khatvanga und Fisch. Kaumari mit Hahn
und Pfau. Aindri mif Ankusha und Elefant. Bhairava, vier
armig, auf einem menschlichen Körper stehend.

demon who has emerged in human form as a result of the deca-
pifation of his animal head. Her right leg is placed on the back
of the buffalo which is also being atfacked by Ihe lion vehicle
of the goddess. The extreme elegance of fhe pose of the goddess
should be noted.

The rectangular panel depicts fhe Lord Siva in a dancing pose
in the Company of the Divine Mothers and Bhairava. Beginning
from the left the deities have been depicted in Ihe following
Order: Mahishi, fwo-handed, holding a trident in the right hand,
the left one is broken. She has the Trinetra (third eye) in the
centre of her forehead. Vaishnavi, holding conch and garland.
Siva, four-handed, wears a lion-skin covering the lower portion
ol his body. The bull Nandin behind him. Varahi, boar-faced,
holding Khatvanga and fish. Kaumari, holding a cock in fhe left
and a peacock touching the right breast of the goddess. Aindri,
holding an Ankusha (goad) in the right hand. An elephant has
also been carved. Bhairava, four-armed, standing on a human
corpse. He is shown with his emaciated body.

Vamana. Eine Inkarnation Vishnus, auf einem Lotus stehend und mit einer Girlande geschmückt. In der linken
unteren Hand hält der Gott ein Emblem, die Muschel. Die drei anderen Hände mit Lotus = Padma, Rad—
Cakra und Keule — Gada sind abgebrochen. An incarnation of Vishnu standing on a lotus, garland hanging
down Ihe knees. Three hands with Padma (lotus), Cakra (wheel),
and Gada (mace) are broken.
