whom  holds  a  parasol  over  his  head,  ofhers  (on  pedesfal)  playing
  on  musical  insfrumenfs.

This  is  a  representation  of  the  madonna  motif  of  India.  According
to  one  view,  this  represents  Krishna  and  Devaki;  according  fo
another  view  this  is  a  representation  of  fhe  Sadyojata  form  of
Siva.
