(HR A14088). At the Vienna trade fair in 1953 two Companies
exhibited under the name of Eggeling (Kat. Wiener Messe
1953, p. 0159):
Eggeling Franz & Co., Leonische Wire Industry and Christmas
Tree Ornament Factory, Vienna III, Hintere Zollamtsstrasse
17, WV: “leonische” wares.
Eggeling J.& Co., Austrian Christmas tree Ornament factory,
Traismauer, N.Ö., Branch: Vienna III, Hintere Zollamtsstrasse
17, WV: Christmas tree Ornaments.
Apparently production of Christmas tree Ornaments was concentrated
at the factory at Traismauer and saies at the Vienna
Company.
In 1956 the Company name was changed to “Eggeling & Co.,
O.H.G., ‘Leonische’ Plant and Christmas Tree Ornament Factory,
Vienna.” The partners are given as Josef and Heinz Eggeling.
In 1961 Josef, Franz, Anna and Heinz Eggeling left the
Company and the entry of Werner Schicht is noted. Franz Martin
apparently only worked for the Company in 1961. The Partner
Company was the “Christmas Tree Ornament Production
and Management Ges.m.b.H.” In 1963 Wolfgang Zipser and
Friedrich Lotz were the authorized signatories.
In the Industry Compass of 1963 there is a Company listed in
Traismauer: “Eggeling & Co., OHG, ‘Leonische’ Plant and
Christmas Tree Ornament Factory, branch factory.” It lists 100
workers and also the location in Vienna as the “Eggeling & Co.
O.H.G., ‘Leonische’ Plant and Christmas Tree Ornament Factories,
III, Hintere Zollamtsstrasse 17. Branch factory in Traismauer
(Lower Austria), ltd. Company. Factory for Christmas
Tree Ornament Production-Management Ges.m.b.H., Vienna,
and one partner. Friedrich Lotz, with 300 workers, production:
‘Leonische’ wires and spun materials, tinsel, tinsel ribbons,
Christmas tree Ornaments of all kinds. [Export] everywhere”
