1968  is  named),  this  Company  with  100  workers  and  an  export
business  to  Europe  and  overseas  is  certainly  one  of  the  leading
  Companies  in  the  field  of  Christmas  tree  Ornament  production
  (Compass  84/1953,  p.  435).  In  1967  the  production  of
“Christmas  tree  Ornaments  and  spun  glass”  is  listed  (Compass
98/1967,  p.  477).  The  owners  are  listed  as  Josef  Wratschko
and  later  Volker  Wratschko.  The  Company  still  exists  today
(Compass  1998/99,  p.  402).  The  entry  in  the  Trade  Registry,
Graz  (HRA1481  L.G.  Graz)  in  1965  States:

It  can  only  be  hoped  that  catalogues  from  these  Austrian  Companies ­
  will  someday  make  it  possible  to  classify  Christmas
tree  Ornaments.

Already  in  my  book  on  glass  bead  Christmas  tree  Ornaments
from  Gablonz,  I  mentioned  an  article  by  B.  J.  Bayer,  “Die  Erzeugung ­
  von  Christbaumschmuck  in  Böhmen  und  Mähren”
(The  Production  of  Christmas  Tree  Ornaments  in  Bohemia
and  Moravia;  from:  Deutsche  Spielwaren  Zeitung  34.  Jg.,
Febr.  1943,  Heft  2/3,  S.45,  Nachdruck  aus:  “Die  Wirtschaft”,
Prague).  Ing.  B.  J.  Bayer  from  the  Export  Institute  in  Prague
evaluated  the  production  of  Christmas  tree  Ornaments  as  follows:

The  production  ofblown  Christmas  tree  Ornaments  has  its  origins
  in  Thuringia,  but  it  has  also  firmly  established  itself  here,
first  in  the  Wsetin  area  (Wsetin,  Jablunka  a.d.  Betschwa),  then
further  at  Königinhof  (Daubrawitz,  Sdobin,  Ahlkirschen,  Klein-Trotin,
  Miletin,  Horschitz),  and  in  the  area  around  Kralup  on  the
Moldova  (Mühlhausen).  Whereas  production  in  the  area  of
