The foregoing letters were pub-
lished vvith the desire Io establish the
faot, that exhibition matters have ar-
rived at that stage of developement,
when it becomes possible to speak of
the existence of an exhibition science.
An exhibition science with its own
peculiar principles, like any other
science, oannot fail to bring practice
to theoretical consciousness on those
points in which the necessity of re-
form has made itself feit in our past
experience.
Exhibitions are a subject. parti-
cularly adapted for the work of inter
national congresses, for all countries
have accepted them, as one of the best
means of furthering the intellectual,
moral and physical improvemont of
the population.
