377/72. Two specimens of Arazdasht. Superfine
arwali adorned with gold leaves, the sides richly
embroidered ; used by the higher gentry to write
petitions to princes upon. The one with the
nymphs upholding a crown was invented by the
Ex-king of Delhi,
3/9. “ Lowh-i-Kitali.” This is a specimen of paper
used by the gentry of Lucknow to write manu-
scripts upon. The first or little page is adorned
with gold, and the sides of the first few pages are
embroidered with gold and silver flowers.

deeds. This is superior Arwali adorned with gold,
it is used by the rieh to write dower deeds upon.
The blank spaces at the sides are for the signatures
of witnesses. Made by the exhibitor.
388/72. Two specimen books of lithography in gold
and colours. These are specimens of lithography
of the seven different characters used in Persian.
It has a page for the “ Diva Nagri ” also. Each
page is lithographed as many times as there are
different colours in it. The lithographing in gold
is quite a new invention.
