The  complete  descriptive  list,  to  he  obtained  from  tho
firm,  will  be  more  satisfactory  than  auy  general  notice,  though
nothing  except  chromatic  illustrations  can  give  an  adequate
idea  of  the  beauty  of  the  designs  and  perfection  of  coloring,
  nor  of  the  slabs,  with  groups  of  ferns  and  flowers  from
nature,  painted  under  the  glaze,  by  the  artists  permanently
engaged  in  the  art  studio  of  the  firm.  The  list  comprises
more  than  one  hundred  varieties  of  tiles.  We  give  below  a
page  from  the  catalogue,  whieh  will  give  an  idea  of  its
