MAK-Cafe Wien, Entwurf Hermann Czech, 1993 MAK Cafe Vienna, curved parts. FAMEG regularly exhibits its products at the international
design Hermann Czech, 1993 furniture fairs in Cologne and Milan.
Starting from 1868, after the “voluntarily forced return” of the Thonet
solid wood patent, many competing Companies have been founded. In
the 1920s, most of them were united in the central Mundus AG holding
Company. Of these once so numerous smaller competitors, very few have
survived until today, they bend almost exclusively two-dimensionally, and
usually act as suppliers for the major manufacturers.
